In January, at the time of the NSN's disbandment, One Nation was already polling at 21% (Roy Morgan), which was 3.5x their vote at the election nine months earlier. In that nine month period, the Nazis were perpetually in the news.
During the last election campaign, all the NSN's activism was focused on destroying the Liberal Party. When the legislation passed to ban them, the Liberals' decision to vote for it ruptured the Coalition and further tanked their legitimacy with right-wing voters. By contrast, One Nation voted against it, and Pauline Hanson publicly stated the NSN had a right to form a political party. She was rewarded by inheriting more of the Liberals' vote share in the weeks after.
Meanwhile, two years ago, you debated former NSN activist Joel Davis on whether diversity is a strength, and now you've capitulated into agreeing with 90% of his talking points. This evolution is most welcome, of course, and I am very happy to see it and hope it continues, but now you're retconning history and denying the role the radicals played in forcing the political realignment that you and so many others (honourable 2WorldsCollide mention) have come around to.
