Roxanne Tickle has won a major appeal in a landmark discrimination case.
The Federal Court upheld findings that she was unlawfully excluded from the Giggle for Girls app.
Judges ruled she was directly discriminated against twice due to her gender-related appearance.
The court awarded her $20,000 in damages, doubling the original compensation.
The case centred on her removal from the app after uploading a selfie during registration.
Giggle and founder Sall Grover argued the platform was a women-only safe space.
The court rejected that argument and ordered costs to be paid to Tickle.
