Users return 200× more often

Here’s a situation almost every creator encounters: someone opens the subscription payment page but doesn’t complete the purchase. It seems reasonable to assume that if they really want the subscription, they’ll come back and pay later.

We decided to see whether that actually happens.

We analyzed the behavior of more than 16.8 million users who reached the payment page but didn’t purchase the subscription right away.

The result was striking.

After receiving a reminder, users returned to complete the payment more than 200× as often as those who didn’t receive one.

And the reason behind this is what makes the result interesting.

An incomplete payment doesn’t necessarily mean someone decided not to buy. They may have been distracted, closed Telegram, or simply decided to pay later.

But “later” can easily turn into “forgot.”

So a reminder doesn’t necessarily persuade someone to buy. It brings them back to a decision they had almost already made.

Tribute sends this reminder automatically. But the data points to a broader takeaway: one reminder doesn’t have to be the end of the conversation.

People who have already shown interest in your product are among the warmest parts of your audience. You can keep engaging them through Broadcasts in Tribute.

For example, give them a new reason to return: explain the subscription in more detail, remind them about a product, or make a new offer. You can also use Broadcasts to reconnect with former subscribers and people who have donated before.

In other words, a creator’s job isn’t just to keep finding new buyers. Sometimes there’s more revenue in working with people who have already come close to making a purchase.

Tribute’s automatic reminder brings some of these users back. Regular Broadcasts help you continue working with this audience.
