Following a community governance vote, the native asset ticker has changed from $TON to $GRAM, while the underlying blockchain and network name remain TON. No token swap, migration, bridge, claim, or conversion is required, and TON Strategy's Nasdaq ticker, TONX, remains unchanged.
The rebrand to Gram gives TON's native currency a simpler, more unified identity as the ecosystem continues to mature.
 
Recent network upgrades have improved speed, transaction efficiency, validation performance, and developer tooling. The Gram identity further supports a more intuitive and recognizable currency experience as adoption expands across wallets, payments, consumer applications, and emerging AI use cases.
