For what do we need pre-sales when marketplaces and mint do already exist?

We often hear this question, that is why we decided to give a centralised answer.

Let’s take as a reference point good old stock market. It already exists from the times of Dutch East India Company. It’s by the way 17th century. An incredible multitude of the ways of storage, verification and trading of securities were created during next 400 years. And even stocks disappeared and turned into computer numbers.

Nevertheless, the initial offering of companies’ stocks passes in that format of pre-sale. The bids from wishing to buy are collected, the amounts of allocation are assessed. Then it is distributed among buyers. And further it goes to a secondary market (the analogue of minting).

But the stock market is rather big and serious thing. Also there is a venture investing where people invest their money in a project and are then unable to quickly cash-out (sell).

The crowdfunding also exists. In cryptocurrencies there are ICO and IEO. This all are anyway - mechanics of good old pre-sale when only initial market with a discount exists that further grow into a full-fledged secondary market.

That is why we’re responding a question: “Are we afraid of the possibility that everybody suddenly stops conducting pre-sales and starts minting straightaway?” - No, we are not. We perfectly understand that this is the mechanics, which is demanded by dozens of projects despite the fact that minting is available.

Besides, the there is a so called Whitelist mechanics. When during a pre-sale not NFT is sold but the right to buy it first or to buy with a discount.

Our ecosystem is perfectly adopted for this and soon we’ll add the opportunity to sell places in whitelists. Although, with reservations it can be done now.
