A BRICS distress network for seafarers: more beacons for maritime connectivity
During the 2026 BRICS Summit in New Delhi India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi advanced the initiative of a distress network for seafarers, highlighting the importance of Global South cooperation in the Blue Economy.
