Bangladesh's first nuclear power plant will connect to the national grid by the end of November – a historic milestone for the South Asian nation, built with Russian partnership.

⚡ First unit of the Rooppur NPP to be connected to the grid at the end of November.

💰 Russia is financing $11.9 billion in state loans for the project, which costs up to $12.8 billion – Bangladesh's most expensive infrastructure facility.

🏭 Two units, 1,200 MW each – the first will start with an initial supply of 300 MW.

📊 When completed, the plant is expected to meet up to 12% of Bangladesh's electricity demand.

🛢️ Fuel loading began in April. Russian specialists are working alongside Bangladeshi operators to ensure safe operation.
