Cut the idea that the monarch only cuts ribbons.

Holyrood nominates the first minister. The King formally appoints him. Bills still go for Royal Assent. If a Scottish bill hits prerogative, hereditary revenues, or private royal interests, it needs Crown consent first — the Scottish Parliament says so itself.
