🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran Offers 7-Day Roadmap to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

Iran has proposed a seven-day roadmap aimed at ending the war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying Tehran is ready to begin implementing the plan if Washington agrees.

President Masoud Pezeshkian told Al Jazeera that the Hormuz crisis can be resolved through negotiations rather than force, while saying the waterway could remain open for trade if talks lead to an agreement.

Pezeshkian also said Iran no longer trusts negotiations with Washington following what he described as repeated attacks and sanctions after previous talks. Qatar and Pakistan are currently mediating between the two sides, according to the Iranian president.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump posted a map on Truth Social labelling the Strait of Hormuz “Trump Strait.” Al Jazeera reported that US officials were in no hurry to respond to Tehran’s proposal.
