Former Uttar Pradesh-cadre IAS officer Divya Mittal has announced her entry into politics, nearly a month after resigning from the civil services. The 2013-batch officer said she will not join any political party and instead plans to build a citizen-led political platform in Uttar Pradesh.

Mittal said her focus would be on giving a voice to people whose concerns often go unheard, describing her approach as a “politics of intent.”
