Meghalaya Congress MP Saleng Sangma has reached out to representatives from the US, Australia, South Korea, England, Mexico and African countries, seeking appeals to the Indian government over the proposed FCRA Amendment Bill, 2026.

Sangma said he has already raised his concerns with Union ministers, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan, and believes representations from outside India could draw greater attention to the concerns surrounding the proposed amendments.
