A five-member delegation of Sri Lanka’s Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), the principal party in the country’s ruling National People’s Power (NPP) alliance, will visit India from September 27 to October 1 at the invitation of the BJP.

Led by JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva, the delegation will meet BJP leaders, including party president Nitin Nabin and national general secretary (organisation) B. L. Santhosh. Talks are also scheduled with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

The visit is aimed at strengthening political and organisational engagement between the JVP and BJP, with the delegation also scheduled to visit Parliament and the Delhi BJP office.
