Erasmus was against backtranslating from Latin into Greek

He mentioned he did not do that practice in the book of Revelation in its Revelation 22:16-22 (Revelation's last 6 verses):

Non his contentus, impingit mihi flagitium impium, idque ante tempus, videlicet frequenter insulciens, si quid habet odiosius, quod in fine Apocalypsis, paucula verba adiecerim Graeco codici ex nostris Latinis.

Thus, Erasmus did not backtranslate at all and anyone who claims "Erasmus backtranslated [insert verse(s) names]" is a liar.
