King James I learned, knew, and read Greek. In his explanation on Christ's crown of thorns that the Romans gave to him/Jesus Christ before Jesus Christ's crucifixion, he/King James I shows that he did read the Greek New Testament, which he calls "the greeke text", and explains the ancient practice of the king's diadems.
