Official Masonic Lodge literature says Freemasonry did not start until 1717. This also debunks the common internet lies/myths that King James I (born in 1566 & died in 1625) was a Freemason/Mason and was a time-travelling Freemason/Mason, because King James I was not alive in 1717, which is the year when Freemasonry admits it started in London.
Next time someone claims or says King James was a Mason/Freemason, you can show this and tell him that official Masonic Lodge literature says they (the Freemasonic Lodge) did not start until 1717. King James I was not a Freemason.
