Full post: King James I exposed tobacco in his treatise "A Covnterblaste To Tabacco". He correctly and rightfully called tobacco and smoking as "this vile cuftom of Tabacco taking" and "a great difgrace" [disgrace]. He further mentioned that tabacco was and is still "hauing their originall from bafe [base] corruption and barbaritie" and called it "a filthy difeafe", "that most detestible difeafe", "this vfe [use] of Tabacco, as a fthinking [stinking] and vufavourie [unsavoury] Antodote", and "so vile and ftinking a cuftome [custom]
King James I knew that both tabacco and using tabacco/smoking is not healthy for your body and is disgusting.
