King James I wrote that how to be saved is contained/shown in Scripture and wrote that one must view both sin and anything in God's Word as based on how God's booke (the Bible) counts of it/on how what the Bible says about anything:

"fince all that is neceffarie for faluation [salvation] is contained in the Scripture: For in any thing that is expreffely commanded or prohibited in the book of God, ye cannot be ouer precife, euen in the leait [least] thing; counting euery finne [sin], not according to the light eftimation [estimation] and common vfe [use] of it in the world, but as the booke of God counteth of it.
