The KJB Translators were not Catholic, as they called Catholicism/"the church of Rome" superstitious and mentioned fable/ficition devised by the Romen Catholic system: "it is not
vnknown what a fiction or fable (fo [so] it is esteemed, and for no better by the reporter himfelfe [himself], though fuperfitious [superstitious]) was devised: Namely, That at such time as the professors and teachers of Christianity in the Church of Rome,....were liberally endowed, a voice forsooth was heard from heaven, saying, Now is poison poured down into the Church, &c.
