Notes on Erasmus: He put the Traditional Text/Byzantine Text type manuscripts in print. He did not create the Textus Receptus but simply examined, traveled to, and gathered the already existing many Byzantine/Textus Receptus manuscripts that make up the basis of the New Testament. Also, Erasmus knew and spoke Greek, Latin, English, etc. He was very intelligent and wanted the Scriptures to be freely available to the comman man.
