Statements of π King James I:
"The Pope is Antichrist"
(Workes, p. 78 see margin) [page numbers in top right/left corners].
Also, King James I points out:
πThat the Pope doeth usurp Christ by calling himself Bishop & Head of the Church
π That the Pope imagined (i.e made up) purgatory
πThat the Pope blasphemeth & denieth that the way to be saved is by the imputation of Christβs righteousness
π That the Pope hath ruled the world hundreds of years
(which is true; the Pope ruled from 400AD to even today and promoted the Dark Ages and the evil Inquisition in which tens of millions of Christians were persecuted and slain by the Vatican & Catholics from the 1200s to the 1800s)
πThat the Pope paved the way for the faithful (i.e. Bible believing Christians) in France, Flanders, & Germany to be rooted out (i.e. persecuted/slain)
Are these statements of a Catholic King James I or of King James I exposing Catholicism's wickedness? It is clear King James I was NOT a Catholic at all
