❗️Statement by Hamas:

"We strongly reject the Board of Peace representative Nickolay Mladenov's adoption of the occupation's narrative, according to which the terrorist Netanyahu government announced suspension of the entry of goods for the private sector into the Gaza Strip, and consider it a blatant bias and complicity with the occupation and its pretexts, aimed at disrupting the goods entry and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis of our besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The occupation's claim that the Movement is involved in imposing taxes, threatening merchants, and interfering in the mechanisms for the entry of goods for the private sector is baseless and a repeated blatant Zionist attempt to deepen the humanitarian crisis, while evading its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.

Mr. Mladenov must cease his policy of bias towards the occupation and its violations of the most basic human rights, and must take urgent action to pressure the occupation, compel it to lift the blockade, halt the ongoing killing of civilians and children, and expedite the entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) to carry out its duties, particularly the reconstruction of what the criminal Zionist occupation has destroyed."
