VIDEO | Iranian navy releases footage of tanker in flames near Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian Navy has released footage of another oil tanker on fire in the Gulf of Oman, saying its surveillance teams spotted the vessel several hours ago during patrols east of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Navy, the tanker had entered a restricted zone after switching off its tracking systems in an attempt to pass through the area.

The Iranian Navy reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz remains under the full control and surveillance of its forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.
