❗️Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global—the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund—has officially completed the divestment of $661 million from five major Israeli banks, Arab News reports.

The sweeping pullout follows a rigorous ethical review centering on the financial institutions' direct complicity in financing West Bank settlements and abetting the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

​The targeted divestment, which includes institutions such as Bank Leumi, Bank Hapoalim, Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, FIBI Holdings, and First International Bank of Israel, marks a significant escalation in Oslo’s financial distancing from institutions tied to Israel's military apparatus.
