Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called revelations surrounding the previous government's use of Israeli-made Pegasus spyware a "crime against the state," after prosecutors found that sensitive data belonging to Polish citizens had been transferred outside the country, potentially exposing it to NSO Group, the Israeli company that developed the surveillance software.

According to TVP World, Tusk accused the former government of allowing the private information of thousands of citizens to be exposed without adequate oversight, describing the affair as one of Poland's biggest scandals since the end of communist rule.
