BREAKING | IRGC Navy says supertanker struck in Strait of Hormuz, marking third vessel hit in two days

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said a supertanker was struck in the Strait of Hormuz after taking an unauthorized route through the strategic waterway. The IRGC Navy said it was the third vessel hit in the strait in the past two days.

“Like previous offenders, this tanker, having deactivated its navigation system and ignored warnings from the IRGC Navy, intended to exit the Strait of Hormuz and disrupt its order and security,” a statement quoted by IRIB said. “Consequently, it was struck.”
