❗️Saudi energy & investment conferences to proceed despite airport attacks

Organizers of two major Saudi energy and investment conferences said their events would proceed as planned this month, assuring attendees of security measures after Ansarallah targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh repeatedly.

Organizers of the World Petroleum Congress, scheduled to run from Sunday through Thursday and expected to host leading oil executives and policymakers, said the event would go ahead as planned, with foreign leaders and ministers attending. An email to delegates stated, "Your comfort is our priority," and highlighted alternative routes to Riyadh, including a four-hour drive from Dammam on Saudi Arabia’s eastern coast.

The Future Investment Initiative, launched a decade ago by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Saudi Arabia’s flagship investment conference, will also take place as planned from 26 to 29 October.
