⭕️ United Arab Emirates stock markets closed mixed on Friday as concerns over regional tensions eased after US President Donald Trump said Washington would refrain from attacking Iran before next month's US midterm congressional elections.
Dubai's benchmark index rose 0.3%, ending a three-session losing streak, with most stocks closing higher. Emirates NBD, the emirate's largest lender, gained 2.1%, while major developer Emaar Properties climbed 1.1%.
Abu Dhabi's benchmark index edged lower as losses in basic materials, consumer staples, telecommunications, and utilities stocks weighed on the market. First Abu Dhabi Bank, the UAE's largest lender, fell 0.6%, while ADNOC Gas advanced 1.5% and Aldar Properties rose 1%. According to LSEG data, Abu Dhabi's index recorded its third consecutive weekly decline, while Dubai's benchmark fell for a second straight week.
