❗️ IRGC warns regional maritime strike zone no longer confined to Strait of Hormuz
In an official statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, the IRGC claimed responsibility for targeting the giant LPG carrier NV Sunshine, owned by Nutwit Company, as it attempted unauthorized transit through the southern Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRGC, the vessel suffered a "massive fire in the engine room and propulsion system" after being hit by Iranian forces.
The IRGC framed the strike as part of its ongoing mandate to enforce full sovereignty over the strategic waterway, warning that future operations will no longer be confined to the Strait and that any unauthorized vessel anywhere in the wider region "will be pursued throughout the entire region, and its punishment is certain."
The IRGC Navy directed blame for the escalation toward Washington, declaring that "direct responsibility for these incidents and escalating tensions in regional maritime transport lies with the aggressive US military."
Iranian naval authorities accused US forces of actively deceiving commercial shipping management and insurance providers—and paying "huge bribes"—to subvert maritime regulations in the Persian Gulf.
The statement warned that continued US interference would only cause these "bitter incidents to increase day by day."
Reaffirming its control over the vital choke point, the IRGC Navy declared that its forces "have not allowed and will not allow the presence of aggressive armies in this region."
Addressing the Iranian public, the statement commended the nation's "220 nights of epic presence" in defense of the country, while issuing a final stern warning to global commercial fleets that any shipping companies "deceived by the US aggressors will be sanctioned" and subjected to punitive measures across their entire operations.
