❗️Oil flows through Strait of Hormuz plunge 60 percent as Iran says waterway remains under its control

Oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz have fallen by 60 percent over the past two days to around 3.8 million barrels per day, Iranian media reported, compared with a weekly average of approximately 9.3 million barrels per day, according to Tasnim news agency.

The reported decline comes as an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) adviser said the strait is "fully controlled" by Iran and will remain closed until the US accepts Tehran's demands.

The adviser said the volume of oil currently being smuggled through the waterway is "very small."
