❗️EU weighs diesel release as prices hit record highs

The European Union is discussing with all members of the International Energy Agency (IEA), including the US, when to release diesel reserves as fuel prices surge across the bloc, EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said Friday.

"This is one of the opportunities that we have, we have used it before and it is likely that we would use it again," Jorgensen told Euronews.

European Commission data showed that diesel prices have reached new all-time highs in 12 EU member states, including Italy, Belgium, Romania and Poland, since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
