❗️Statement by Hamas's military wing, the Qassam Brigades:

"With the loftiest expressions of honor and confidence in Allah’s imminent victory, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades announce the martyrdom of:

The great commander martyr / Izz al-Din Abdul Aziz al-Bayk 'Abu Hamza'

Member of the General Military Council of the Qassam Brigades and commander of the Northern Brigade

Who ascended to the heights at dawn on Tuesday, 18 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH, corresponding to 29–09–2026, following a cowardly assassination operation, to proceed to his Lord as a martyr after a career filled with jihad and giving. Our martyr led the first special unit in the Northern Brigade during the Al-Aqsa Intifada, then assumed command of the Martyr Imad Aqil Battalion in 2009, before taking command of military intelligence in the brigade in 2015. He then became one of the commanders of the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operations room overseeing the major crossing on 7 October. Our martyr and mujahid then assumed command of the Northern Brigade, succeeding the great commander / Ahmad al-Ghandour 'Abu Anas,' leading the fierce defensive battle fought by the resistance in the Northern Gaza Brigade throughout all its rounds. He stood firm and fought alongside his fellow mujahideen for 107 days during the siege of northern Gaza, which was called the 'Generals’ Plan,' and which he thwarted, after Allah’s favor, through the steadfastness of our people and the might of our fighters.

As we mourn the loss of our commander today, we are certain of the justice and sanctity of our cause, and that it deserves from us everything precious and valuable. Indeed, the path that Abu Hamza and his brothers watered with blood is our passage toward victory and liberation. And the more the enemy increases its crimes and Nazism, the more vengeance burns in the breasts of our young before our old, and they store it for a day on which they will bring sorrow upon the faces of the enemies of Allah and humanity, and utterly destroy what they have built up, so that they may relieve the land and its people of their evils. So it is a pledge: the blood will not be lost, and determination will not weaken. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most people do not know.

And it is indeed jihad, victory or martyrdom..."
