❗️Persian Gulf Strait Authority warns vessels forced onto unauthorized routes may face Hormuz restrictions

The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) said it has received reports that some charterers are forcing vessels to transit through unauthorized routes. It warned that doing so could expose vessels, their owners, captains, and crews to financial and human losses, and said those ships may face serious restrictions when transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The authority urged shipowners to exercise caution regarding the actions of certain charterers. It added that companies found to be violating its directives will be placed on a Non-Compliance List (NCL), and all vessels associated with those companies will face restrictions when passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
