UPDATE | Oil prices climbed about 2% on Thursday as diplomatic efforts between the US and Iran showed little progress, while investors remained focused on uncertainty surrounding a potential US ban on diesel exports.
Brent crude futures gained $2.03, or 2%, to reach $105.11 a barrel at 13:20 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate futures rose $1.48, or 1.6%, to $93.64 a barrel.
Brent had earlier climbed as high as $106.50.
