❗️Reuters: Saudi Arabia restarts East-West oil pipeline

Reuters claims, citing three unknown sources, that Saudi Arabia has allegedly resumed operations on its East-West Pipeline and could restart crude exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu later on Tuesday.

Attacks by Ansarallah forced Saudi Arabia to shut down the East-West Pipeline on 13 September, halting crude loadings at Yanbu.

The resumption of supplies on Tuesday contributed to selling pressure in global oil markets, traders said. Brent crude futures fell more than $2 a barrel to their lowest level since 8 September.

Two sources said the pipeline was operating at a low rate following the restart. One source said state oil company Saudi Aramco was working to raise the flow rate to 4 million barrels per day, but did not specify when that target could be reached.
