๐๐ป While statues in history has varying purposes, many are for idolatry while some statues are built by men to symbolize their greatness in respect to their achievements in life or their achievements or accomplishments or elevating or symbolizing themselves as heros without them worshipping it (example: King Nebuchadnezzar did this as a response to Daniel's dream in Daniel 2 AND because he was told that the Babylon Empire, over which he was the human ruler, was the head of gold of the statue that both signaled the start of the latter days that will lead to the end of the world ( "the latter days" of Daniel 9 started when King Nebuchadnezzar became the King over the Babylonian Empire) represented the first major world empire of the Last Days.
๐๐ป The proof that King Nebuchnezzar made the statue of gold is, that the King James Bible records in Daniel 3:1 that King Nebuchadnezzar made a huge statue OF GOLD in the plain of Dura. And in Daniel 2, the head of the statue is made of gold and represents King Nebuchadnezzar along with his kingdom of the Babylonian Empire.
๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ Daniel 2:28, 32, 37-38 1611 KJB
28 But there is a God in heauen that reuealeth secrets, and maketh knowen to the king Nebuchad-nezzar, what shalbe in the latter dayes. Thy dreame, and the visions of thy head vpon thy bed, are these.
..32This images head was of fine gold, his breast and his armes of siluer, his belly and his thighes of brasse:
...37 Thou, O King, art a king of Kings: for the God of heauen hath giuen thee a kingdome, power, and strength, and glory.
38And wheresoeuer the children of men dwel, the beasts of the field, and the foules of the heauen hath he giuen into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler ouer them all: thou art this head of gold.
๐ Daniel 3:1-2 1611 KJB
[Bible verse being added]
๐๐ป But The moment that they worship or bow to it or treat it as equal to God or as above God &/or the idolatry and/or the moment that that status represents a false god /a devil, is when the statue becomes an idol, such as King Nebuchadnezzar's statue/image of gold becoming an idol when he wanted nobles to worship it in Daniel 3 and such as when the Hebrews in 2 Kings 18:1,4 KJB worshipped the brazen serpent which Moses originally made as a statue that represents when the fiery serpents bit the Israelite people, those who looked at it and were bit would live.
Daniel 3:1-7 1611 KJB
1 Nebuchad-nezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and รพ breadth thereof sixe cubites: he set it vp in the plaine of Dura, in the prouince of Babylon.
2 Then Nebuchad-nezzar the king sent to gather together the Princes, the Gouernours, and the Captaines, the Iudges, the Treasurers, the Counsellers, the Sherifes, and all the rulers of the Prouinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchad-nezzar the King had set vp.
3 Then the Princes, the Gouernours and Captaines, the Iudges, the Treasurers, the Counsellers, the Sherifes, and all the rulers of the Prouinces were gathered together vnto the dedicatiล of the image, that Nebuchadnezzar the King had set vp, and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set vp.
4 Then an herauld cryed aloud, To you it is commaunded, O people, nations, and languages,
5 That at what time yee heare the sound of the cornet, flute, harpe, sackbut, psalterie, dulcimer, and all kinds of musicke, yee fall downe, and worship the golden image that Nebuchad-nezzar the King hath set vp
6 And who so falleth not down and worshippeth, shall the same houre bee cast into the middest of a burning fierie furnace.
7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harpe, sackbut, psalterie, and all kindes of musicke, all the people, the nations, and the languages fell downe and worshipped the golden image, that Nebuchad-nezzar the King had set vp.
