The Belgorod Brit tackles the thorny issue of who owns the land. In the film, he introduces you to the radical English politician 'Freeborn' John Lilburn. He was a pain in the arse for all those who disagreed with his principled stand on property, based on his interpretation of the Holy Bible. He managed to make enemies of the Royalists by fighting with the Parliamentarians in the British Civil Wars, and then fell out with his former deputy Commander, Oliver Cromwell. He even fell out with his supporters over how far to take the idea that God gave the land to all the people, not just a few. He revived the idea that land belonged to those who use it, and the only landlord was God himself. Gerrard Winstanley went further than Lilburn, who believed that land should belong to the organised communities that dwelt there, by claiming all the land was free to use for the benefit of all.

In the podcast, BB goes into the principles of ownership, and how much of past processes are still relevant today. William the Conqueror declared that all of Britain belonged to him - a situation that persists to this day. The King grants title to you as the landlord, but he retains the right to take it away. In the USA, land was stolen by force and trickery, or by the old principles espoused by Lilburn and Winstanley. If you have the ability to defend it, then it is yours. Good luck!
