Cognitive offloading is delegating to the AI and still owning the answer. Cognitive surrender is when the AI’s output quietly becomes your output and there is nothing you feel is left to check. For software engineers the line between the two moves under your feet most days, and most of us are crossing it without noticing.

Bytebytego ChatGPT vs Gemini vs Claude: How They Differ In this article, we will look at the various architectural forks the teams building these models encountered and the decisions they took.

https://obsidian.md/cli

If you manage juniors: protect the friction.

If you are a junior: AI is your teacher first, your assistant second, your amplifier never. Not yet.

If you hire: bring the apprentice back, and give the job its real name.

AI is only as good as the human operating it. Right now, we're quietly choosing not to make the humans.
