Cape Greco, Cyprus 🇨🇾
This is part of an ancient volcanic platform that was raised from the seabed millions of years ago. The sea caves that stretch along the coast for several kilometers are the result of centuries of wave action. Their walls, made of porous limestone, are carved into intricate shapes, and the water takes on an incredible emerald hue.
Fun Fact: Cape Greco is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the rare Mediterranean monk seal, which is one of the most endangered marine mammals in the world. The area is also part of a Natura 2000 protected site, ensuring the preservation of its unique ecosystems.
