⚙️ Microsoft has introduced
Cloud Rebuild, a new Windows 11 recovery feature that can reinstall the operating system from the cloud, even when a PC will not boot. The tool aims to restore a device to a known good state without requiring a USB drive, a custom image, or a working installed copy of Windows. However, keep in mind that it will remove all your apps, preferences and settings.
Unlike Reset this PC, which runs inside Windows, Cloud Rebuild launches from the Windows Recovery Environment. It downloads both the Windows image and device drivers from Windows Update, helping return the machine to a fully working state after a serious failure. Users can try the preview feature by opening WinRE, connecting to Ethernet or Wi Fi, and choosing the Cloud Rebuild option under Troubleshoot, Recovery and Removal.
Before starting, users must confirm the target build, edition, and language, then accept the warning about data loss. Microsoft positions Cloud Rebuild as part of its wider Windows recovery efforts for faster repairs and simpler system restoration.
