Hulu titles are now accessible on Disney+ 🎥 as part of a beta

Disney+ 🎥 has integrated Hulu content into a separate tab on its app for subscribers in the US, part of a beta test that began in December. The Hulu 🎬 tab is positioned sixth in the content options list and is accessible to Hulu subscribers or those with The Disney Bundle subscription. However, the integration comes with some limitations, such as the inability to sync watch history from the Hulu app. Disney plans to make the integration official by March 2024. The move is part of Disney's strategy to consolidate its streaming services and encourage Hulu subscribers to switch to The Disney Bundle, which offers Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ starting from $10/month. Additionally, Disney aims to address password sharing among subscribers, with plans to restrict it as a priority in the coming years.

Google will soon bring its AI-powered "Help me write" feature to Chrome for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It accessible in any text field through a right-click 🗂drop-down menu The feature will initially be hidden behind flags, but is expected to be available to all users in Chrome 122 (February). 🌐 #Google Files is testing the ability to search inside photos and PDFs 📄

Google's Files app is testing an enhanced Smart Search feature, as reported by Android Police.

This update allows users to search for text and images within PDFs, making it easier to locate specific content on their phones.

The Smart Search capability extends to searching for photos based on depicted objects and locations. Unlike the current file name-based search, this feature provides a more intuitive way to find documents. 🌐 #Google Messages starts rolling out Photomoji

Most of the new Messages features announced last week have yet to widely launch, but Google is now rolling out Photomoji that can be used as reactions❤ and stickers.📑

Google Messages will subtly indicate that Photomoji is live on your device with a circular badge over the emoji button in the compose field. You can add new ones by long-pressing on an SMS text or RCS chat and scrolling to the end of the reactions bar for “Create.” That button is also available in the emoji picker to make ones without having to first send them.

🌐 Instagram and Facebook cross messaging is coming to an end

From mid-December, 🔗 Instagram and 🔗 Facebook’s messaging services will no longer be cross-compatible, according to a pair of Meta support pages quietly updated. Once the feature is discontinued, you won’t be able to start new cross-platform chats, and existing conversations between services will go into read-only mode. It’s unclear exactly when the pages were updated, but the Instagram version carried the notice as of at least November 21st.
