It is bizarre... this doctor, who is loaded, who could hire the best defense attorneys around, chose to represent himself and waive his right to a jury trial. He's basically asking to be found guilty. Begging! (And he was.) There is no body! Good defense lawyers, which he could afford, could have likely gotten him off in a proper jury trial.
