Former CIA Director James Woolsey, who died in July 2026, is said to have suffered from Havana syndrome for several years leading up to his death. His wife reported that his health was severely impacted by certain incidents in 2017 and 2018, which produced symptoms that included ear pain, fatigue, migraines, memory loss, and hearing loss.

Woolsey may be the highest-ranking U.S. government official to fall victim to the bizarre condition, but he is by far not the only person afflicted. Innumerable individuals worldwide report strange sounds, sensations, synthetic thoughts and words in their heads, and even torture due to electromagnetic targeting.
