🇺🇸⚡️ — Archbishop Timothy Broglio, who oversees Catholic services in the U.S. military, has urged Catholic soldiers to refuse participation in the planned December 3 firing squad execution of Nidal Hasan, convicted of killing 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009.

Broglio condemned Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s proposal to livestream the execution, arguing that it violates Catholic teachings, risks damaging the military’s reputation and could negatively affect young viewers.

He questioned whether the U.S. should “imitate the terrorists of this world” by publicly broadcasting the execution of a wheelchair-bound prisoner.
