The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna. And yes, it is built upon old concepts of jihad, but it's also mixed in with Marxism.
What the Muslim Brotherhood created was a hybrid threat. The vanguard concept itself that came out of that and then was later popularized by bin Laden is a classic Leninist-Marxist concept.
