🇺🇸🇻🇪⚡️ — Federal prosecutors in New York are expected to bring new charges against former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, over the alleged torture of Americans detained in Venezuela, according to CNN.

The charges concern more than a dozen U.S. citizens whom Washington says were wrongfully imprisoned while Maduro was in power. An announcement could come as early as Thursday.

Investigators have also discussed charging several additional individuals over their alleged involvement in the torture of the American detainees.
