🇨🇳🇱🇦⚡️ — Satellite imagery shows light attack aircraft and military vehicles have arrived at the newly established China-Laos joint military training facility at Ban Keun, near Vientiane, according to Reuters.

Eight Hongdu JL-8/K-8 training and light-attack jets and more than two dozen support vehicles can be seen at the site, where extensive runway construction is continuing.

Security experts are closely watching for air defenses, ammunition and fuel storage, and surveillance infrastructure that could indicate the facility is developing into a broader Chinese military base.

The runway could eventually be extended to accommodate larger Chinese aircraft, including signals intelligence and electronic surveillance platforms.
