🇸🇦⚡️ — Saudi Aramco is reassessing how to use rising gas supplies from its $100 billion Jafurah project, which aims to boost gas production 80% from 2021 to 2030 and could create up to 50 billion cubic metres of annual surplus, FT reports.
Saudi Arabia is using more gas domestically to free crude for export, but Aramco may need overseas buyers, including LNG exports, after a planned Jafurah-linked LNG terminal was put on hold.
Aramco is also considering spinning off its gas division under “Project Gamma” to unlock capital, although fixed domestic gas prices, the exclusion of international LNG assets and regional security risks could complicate a potential listing.
