🇧🇷⚡️ — Brazil’s presidential election is heading to a runoff between right-wing Flávio Bolsonaro and leftist incumbent Lula after neither candidate secured more than 50% in the first round.
With 99.55% of votes counted, Lula has narrowed Bolsonaro’s lead to 2.7%, or around 2.4 million votes.
The runoff will take place on October 25 amid deep political polarization, corruption scandals and voter fatigue, with Bolsonaro likely to win.
