🇴🇲🇦🇪🇮🇱⚡️ — The Flydubai co-pilot that attacked the captain and attempted to crash the Israel-bound Flydubai Flight 1073 has been identified as 29-year-old Omani national Hamam Al Hammami and has indicated that he intended to crash the plane in Israel, according to ABC News.
Al Hammami was suspended from flying while training with Oman Air in 2024 after extremist materials were found in his possession but remained with the airline in an administrative role.
Investigators are examining how he was later cleared to fly for Flydubai and assigned to the Israel route.
Al Hammami is cooperating with investigators in the UAE.
