🇺🇸🇾🇪⚡️ — U.S. Department of Justice announces U.S. Department of Energy employee 51-year old Ashton Hamad Ellaboudy was arrested this morning for attempting to provide material aid to Yemen's Ansarallah. Ellaboudy attempted to assist Ansarallah in improving its communications and had purchased components for homemade explosives and UAVs.

The signs started in December 2024, when he called in sick to work due to exposure to bomb-making chemicals. In September 2025, he traveled to Ansarallah-controlled Yemen. Ellaboudy also communicated with an FBI confidential human source posing as an Ansarallah operative, and guided him on communications integration and assisted him in acquiring equipment for a mobile communications center.
